Cute Little Smalls from Linda

Here are three small projects (remember, small doesn't necessarily mean easy) that Linda recently completed.  I don't know who designed the ornament in the metal frame.  The wool acorn is from the BBD Joyeux Noel booklet.  The cap is from a burr oak tree.  The silk acorn has a real acorn cap with a beautiful stitched needle minder.  This is a project from Sharon Shemmler.  As always, some nice finishes from Linda.  Lots of eye candy at last night's WRSG meeting.  Will post more as we go.

The Mary Wigham Sampler

As many of you are aware, some months ago there were free downloads for the Mary Wigham Sampler available at:  www.needleprint.com  I'm sure they are still available for any who would like to try their hand at this wonderful piece.  Colors to mimic the originals are charted, but many stitchers are doing their own thing, like me!  I consider this my official start to my blue and green period.

Stitchers literally all over the world have posted pictures of their progress on this piece.  I hope to progress substantially on my sampler in 2010.
