It's Almost Finished!

My February Hearts will be finished....on Valentine's Day 2010!     I am very excited about the symbolism of this and about having my third finish (fourth if you count the closure-less Blackbird Friendships needle cushion) of the year. More photos to come when the fabric comes off the scroll frame.

Frozen Fog on Tree Tops

A week ago tomorrow (2.8.10) this is what we woke up to.  Of course it was much more beautiful in person than in my photos taken almost mid-morning, but it gives me something to remember it by.  As a result of some encouragement from Rose, I flew out of here to drive around and take some pictures.  I don't remember driving around with the window open in ten degree temperatures before!  The snow was too deep to really walk around to get any close ups.

February Stitching

Today was our monthly stitch-in; we met at Carol's today.  This was a follow up on our heart theme from last month.

Carol finished her wool felt candle mat.  Isn't it cute, and aren't her stitches so fine?
Rose has finished her annual Valentine for David.  It's a really nice one this year.  Unfortunately I don't know the name of the pattern or who the designer is.  The original has all cross stitch, I think.  Rose has made her project really special by including a variety of stitches.  Nice.

Lenore has finished her Valentine for her husband...it is at the framer.  Today she worked on her needle punch project from last month.  Can you tell what it is going to be?
Hint:  For some reason I cannot get this photo to post right side up...maybe that will help you!

I continued work on my BBD February's Hearts.  I really, really would like to be able to finish this project by the end of February.  Will post more when it is available.  I also gave everyone a copy of one of the antique Valentines from my sister that I printed out on fabric.  Maybe one day we will have pictures of finished projects that include those.

Happy February Stitching, everyone.  Put your heart into it!

Saturday Morning

Here is what my front yard looks like after the driveway was plowed this morning.  This front moved in at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, and thankfully was out of here by 9: a.m. on Saturday.  Glad I have supplies to keep me going through the weekend.  Kinda fun to look at.  Kinda!
