I got off to a fair start on my January Cottage while here as a hermit on Saturday. Remember, I am a pathetically slow stitcher! Sunday afternoon I had three friends over, and all I got stitched were two snowflakes, but we had to take time out to eat Panera, delivered by my daughter...thank you...check out the latest stitching catalog, look up interesting stitchy things on the ipad, and play hostess. A fun way and a good excuse for lots of stitch time on a wintry (but not bad) January weekend.
A couple of photos are shown below:
Toni decided it was time to leave all her WIPs go and stitch something for Valentine's Day. I forgot who she said the designer was. Sorry. |
Rose worked on another block for BBD's Casting a Spell and showed us how her first block looks in the shadow box. |
I hope everyone who participated in IHSW had as much fun as we had.
I've found the same thing--that I get much more done on my own :) As a slow stitcher myself, I know how you feel... Love your start on the January cottage--I'll bet you'll be able to finish it by the end of the month! Good luck!

ReplyDeleteNice progress and what fun it seems you had. Panera... Yum
ReplyDeleteThat's okay! It is a lot more fun to stitch with others ;o) Your cottage is looking good though.
ReplyDeleteStitching looks great! :D
ReplyDeleteLove all the pics!! I know exactly what you mean about getting together with friends to stitch and then looking up things on the computer, etc. So much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteSaw your blog listed on Joyzes blog.
Your wips are looking lovely.
Lovely stitching :)
ReplyDeleteGreat start on the January Cottage! Did you change the blues in it?
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment about my January Cottage. Yes, I am using all my own color choices. The cottages are cute, but some of her bright colors are a little too out of my color pallet. I am using a bunch of Vicki Clayton HDF silks that I've had forever and haven't used.

Nice progress on your stitching, Bobbi! I know getting a lot done is always a good thing, but it's so nice when you get to stitch with friends. :) I'm glad you had a good time. Panera for lunch? Nirvana!
