I chose Shakespeare's Peddler's A Weary World Rejoices since I am still in a Christmas mood/mode.
There are still parts of the top of the sampler that have not been stitched. I am stitching this in colors of my own choosing to get a lighter, greener appearance than the original design that was heavy in reds and browns.
A Weary World Rejoices - Shakespeare's Peddler Fabric - Light colored from my stash, probably 40 count Fibers - Cotton overdyes of my own choosing |
The other project I plan to work on in the immediate future is the triple Loose Feathers from BlackBird Designs this year. I have completed the Summer design, and am about one third through Autumn. Winter is due in the shops in a week or so, which is why this piece has been moved to the top of my list for some attention.

Both projects are beautiful and in my to-do pile! I love the BBD on 45 count. I have been toying with doing it on 40 ct but have a big hunk of 30 ct Irish Creme and might just use that. I do love the ease of using one thread, though. I'm looking forward to seeing your updated progress pics on both!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year!
Both pieces are just lovely! I am sure you will finish them both this year! I love the BBD on 45ct! I am not sure I can see that fabby! LOL I also adore stitching on 36ct and 40ct with the ease of 1 thread. Not to mention stitching goes sooo much faster! Looking forward to seeing your progress here and on 2012 Stitching Smalls!
ReplyDeleteHi Bobbi, I hope I'm not being a busy body by telling you this, but I've seen your comments on other blogs as well as on mine and tried to find your blog. I couldn't because your profile is set up as private. I'm not sure if you knew that or not? I apologize if you knew that already! I just thought I'd mention it because as I said, I wanted to read your blog after you commented on mine--just wanted to return the visit and get to know you better! I found you through your post on the 2012 Year of Smalls.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend! Take care. :)
What lovely WIP's! I will look forward to seeing your progress on these! Have a great week!
