Another month with stitching ADD! I keep having to adjust my WIPocalypse list to accommodate all the new starts I have made this year. Will I ever learn?
This past month has been a sad and hectic one. I have managed to stitch a little on the two projects my guild is working on for Christmas in July 2013 SAL, Victoria Sampler's Twelve Days and BBD's Christmas Garden. I'll show those next month when the photos will, I hope, have more progress to see.
I also started BBD's recent limited edition pattern, Wild Garden, on which I plan to include my Mother's initials and birth and death dates. Then Thursday I looked at my pattern for Spring Eggs III from Sandra at Homespun Elegance - Plain & Fancy Collection and thought, "I can get these three little eggs stitched by Easter, and just assemble them afterward." That would have been an OK plan, had I not stitched the chick on the first egg in totally the wrong place, which, of course required unstitching and restitching. Oh well, life goes on. Here are my two photos for the month:
BBD Wild Garden using specified fibers and Picture This Plus 40 count Legacy linen |
Egg #1 from Homespun Elegance, Plain & Fancy Collection using pastel 32 count linens and silks of my choosing |
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter weekend. Be well.
Beautiful progess on both of your new starts. I have had the ADD bug lately as well. I think it must be spring. Here's to many more WIPs in our stitching baskets.
ReplyDeletelol I'm feeling a bit like that, too. Your stitching is lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter Bobbie!
ReplyDeleteThe colors in both projects must be wonderful to work with. They are looking great.
I really like both of your projects, beautiful colors.

I'm so excited to see that you are stitching the spring eggs. I love that pattern! Can't wait to see them done. Your progress on Wild Garden is beautiful!

Hi
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your Mom.
Your projects are looking beautiful.
Oh, I just love those Spring eggs--sorry the first chick didn't get place quite in the right spot. I think the piece you're doing in your mom's memory is very special, indeed. I hope it comforts you as you stitch...
ReplyDeleteBobbie, I've been in a big slump and not doing much of anything--including reading blogs or blogging on my own, so I'm just now reading about your mom. I am so, so sorry for your loss. Big hugs and lots of prayers being said for you and your family. xoxo
ReplyDelete(Lovely stitching, too, btw!)
The homespun elegance are really quite pretty. Hoping next Easter you can get them done in time.
